James C. Hite is Alumni Distinguished Professor of Agricultural and
Applied Economics and a Senior Fellow of the Strom Thurmond Inst. of Govt.
at Clemson Univ. A native of East Tennessee, Prof. Hite has been a member
of the Clemson faculty since 1967. He holds degrees from Clemson and Emory
universities and was a post-doctoral scholar in regional science at
Harvard. Prof. Hite teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in natural
resource economics and performs policy analysis at the Institute in
regional economics, rural development and public finance. He is the former
editor of The Review of Regional Studies.
