A set of 14 large map posters showing the predicted growth of developed land was created. The predicted developed land for the 8-county region for the year 2030 is mapped along with the 2000 developed area at each of the growth ratios from 1:1 to 5:1 (5 different posters). There is also an individual map for each county for 2030 at the 5:1 growth ratio (8 posters). Finally, a poster showing 2000 compared with 1990 is included.

These posters were originally designed for printing in large format, up to 24 by 36 inches. They are made available here as printable 8.5 x 11 GIF files and screen-sized (1024 x 768) GIF files. For those with a large-format printer, the original large-sized posters are available on a CD. Contact Craig Campbell at craigc@strom.clemson.edu.

Printable
For Printing 11 X 8.5" Version of Poster:
A reduced version of each poster was made for printing on 8.5 x 11 paper while keeping the same look. Some are in landscape mode, some are in portrait mode. These GIF image files at 300 ppi work well for on-screen viewing with greater detail in a browser or Windows Picture and FAX Viewer, for example, and can be printed at 8.5 x 11 inches.

On-screen
For On-Screen Display:
Further reduced versions were made at a size of 1024 x 768 pixels at 72 ppi, all in landscape mode, for on-screen display. The GIF-compressed format yields a very small file size and is suitable for screen-sized displays. Appropriate for PowerPoint, for example, web graphics, or quick exchange and display in e-mail, web browser, etc. *Do not use for printing.
