Linda Kidd, a "Homegrown" resident of McCormick County, is married and has three daughters. She is presently employed at John de la Howe School, state-supported residential children's home in McCormick, as Project Director. Linda has been employed at John de la Howe for fifteen years, having previously worked in referral and intake and public relations, alumni affairs, and development.

Other community involvement includes service on the following boards: Emerald Center in Greenwood, SC for the S.C. Department of Disabilities and Special Needs as McCormick County representative, McCormick Arts Council (currently serving as President of the Board), and the McCormick County Chamber of Commerce (currently service as Board Secretary). Linda has also served on McCormick County's PATCH (Planned Approach To Community Health) Committee and is a graduate of the Palmetto Leadership Program sponsored by Clemson University. She was President of the S.C. Association for Volunteer Administration (SCAVA) for two years, in 1992 and 1993. As immediate past president, she is currently a member of the SCAVA Board of Directors.
